My work

Filed under: Life in KZ - KZBlog @ 5:41 am

So I got a letter from one of our students addressed to the head of our organization–It was written in awful Latin transliteration so I doubt that they actually sent it to him (or that he paid it much mind if they did). But it complained that they had no money, stipends were so low, they were hungry, oh the injustice. They spent money on textbooks and now had none whereas the kids at other universities had a seperate stipend for textbooks. So I wrote to the university in question. I was told:

1) Of course they got textbook allowances seperately
2) The meal plans were paid for before they got any extra pocket money
3) Some of the kids had rented cars and gone to Chicago once or twice

And now, the kicker, some of them are sending me photos. I look at some of the photos–They went to Philidelphia!!!!! And New York!!!!! Mountain climbing!!!!

We’re hungry and complaining to your boss, and we went to Chicago and Phildelphia and New York! (I might add the uni in question is theoretically a day trip away from Chicago but Philly and New York would definitely mean time in hotels).

Khitrie, I tell you! Khitrie little buggers.
